Hiccup is a contraction of diaphragm for several times per minute. This can cause spasm and causes abrupt rush of air into the lungs causes the vocal cords to close, creating a "hic" sound. Usually hiccup will resolve itself but you can make it disappears faster with some methods.
2. Swallow something sour.
3. Have some peanut butter.
4. Sip some hot sauce.
5. Enjoy a little honey.
6. Eat some powdered chocolate drink mix.
7. Breathe slowly and deeply into small paper bag. To increase oxygen demands.
8. Chew up some dill.
9. Place a single layer of paper towel over the top of a glass, then drink through the towel. You'll have to "pull" harder with your diaphragm to suck up the water, and concentrated gulping counteracts spasmodic muscle movements.
